Returning Volunteers:

You do not need to sign up for a username and password again. Simply login with last year's information and start signing up for shifts when they become available.

New Volunteers:

Signing up is easy!  Just follow these simple steps...

1. Create a username and password-- Click on the "sign in button" at the top right corner of the page to create an account. Then click on the "Register" button on the following page.  This will allow you to register as a volunteer, sign-up for shifts, view your shifts and cancel shifts, if necessary.

2. Click the "sign-up" button to sign up for a shift-- After registering for a username and password, you will be brought back to this main Events page.  Scroll down to view job descriptions and available shifts. Shifts for the 2013 Jazz Festival are Available NOW!!

Sign up for as many shifts as you would like.  

You will be able to cancel your shift up to one week prior to the event, if absolutely necessary.  Please call or e-mail the Volunteer Programs Coordinator, if you must cancel.  As a volunteer you play a critical role in the success of the Jazz Festival, please cancel only in case of emergency.

3. Receive confirmation and fill out the paperwork--You will be sent a confirmation e-mail after signing-up. Please write down the dates and times in your personal calendar. You will also receive a reminder e-mail before your shift.  

Drivers must also fill out four related driver forms, including a background check.    Turn forms into the Jazz Festival office located in the UI SUB Room 127, 709 Deakin Ave. Moscow, ID

If you completed the drive course and a records check for the 2012 festival, the Jazz office has that information on file and you will not need to complete those steps again this year.  You will only have one form to update and sign.? 

4. Attend Volunteer Orientation(s)-- There will be volunteer information sessions to answer any questions you may have about volunteering. .

5. Work your assigned shifts during the festival-- The festival takes place Wednesday-Saturday, February 20-23, 2013.

Receive free tickets-- Every volunteer is eligible to receive one(1) free ticket to the show of their choice for every 4 hours they volunteer.

If you receive tickets and do not show up for your volunteer shift, you will be charged for the tickets and will not be allowed to volunteer in the future.  

*ATTENTION Volunteers interested in Drive Team, Jazz in the Schools Ambassadors, Hospitality or Night Crew-- You will notice that there are no shifts available for these positions.  Please indicate in your account setting (Click on "Your Account" button at top right hand of page) that you are interested in one of these positions.  You will be contacted by a staff member to schedule your shift.  Please come to the Jazz Festival office (SUB Rm. 127) to fill out the appropriate drive forms.

We need these forms ASAP so we can set you up to take the online training course that is required.
